„Isabelle, ich habe einen Ort gefunden, an dem tausende Diamanten liegen“
Mit dieser Aussage kam meine kleine sechs jährige Schwester voller Aufregung freudestrahlend angerannt. Ich war natürlich neugierig, denn wer möchte nicht tausende Diamanten haben. Also habe ich interessiert gefragt, wo diese denn versteckt sind. Wir haben uns einen großen Rucksack und etwas Wegproviant eingepackt, und sind dann gemeinsam zum Ort der mysteriösen Diamanten losmarschiert.
Es war ein wunderschöner Sommertag, und an einem Waldrand glitzerte und funkelte es tatsächlich. Die Augen meiner kleinen Schwester wurden immer größer, doch was dort lag waren keine Diamanten, es war ein Berg ganz klein zerbrochener Autoscheiben. Es sah wirklich schön aus, wie die kleinen Kristalle im Sonnenlicht funkelten. Doch die Tatsache, dass jemand auf die Idee kam seinen ganzen Müll im Wald abzulagern hat mich sehr traurig gemacht. Die Gefahr, dass sich jemand verletzt oder die Scherben einen ganzen Waldbrand auslösen könnten, fand der Verursacher wohl sehr uninteressant.
Trotz alledem bin ich aber immer der Überzeugung, dass man aus Allem etwas Positives machen kann. Jede Münze hat zwei Seiten, und ich bin dafür, der Schöneren mehr Beachtung zu schenken.
Für mich war es zerbrochenes Autoglas was glitzert und für meine Schwester wertvolle Diamanten, aus denen man etwas basteln kann. In der Tat haben wir daraus einen Traumzauberbaum gebastelt und ganz viele kleine Scherben in einen Traumfänger geklebt.
Es war erstaunlich zu sehen, wie unscheinbare Glasscherben zu kleinen Schätzen werden können. Ich fand diese Diamantensuche so inspirierend, dass ich diese kleinen Scherbenstücke gleich für meine Kollektion „Flash the Trash“ verwendet habe.
Ich möchte Euch mit dieser kleinen Geschichte sagen, dass es Spaß macht achtsam zu sein, und nicht alles sofort in die Tonne muss. Du hast immer noch die Chance, einfach selbst kreativ zu werden und vielleicht jemandem eine kleine Freude zu machen. In der Bomberjacke seht ihr zahlreiche kleine Glasscherben, die ich am Waldrand aufgesammelt hatte aber auch viele andere Fundstücke, die ich auf dem Nachhauseweg von der Uni an der Straße fand. Ich habe diese Gegenstände ausgewählt, weil sie jemand unachtsam auf die Straße warf. Alte leere Feuerzeuge, Einwegrasierer oder eine leere Dose vom letzten Energydrink.

„Isabelle, I found a place where there are thousands of diamonds“
With this statement, my six-year-old little sister to me ran with full of excitement and joy. Of course I was curious, because who does not want to have thousands of diamonds. So I asked, where these are hidden. We packed up a big backpack and some provisions, and then marched off together to the place of the mysterious diamonds. It was a beautiful summer day and something really sparkled and twinkled at the edge of the forest. My little sister's eyes grew bigger and bigger, but what lay there were not diamonds, it was a mountain of tiny broken car windows. It looked really nice as the little crystals sparkled in the sunlight. But the fact that someone came up with the idea to deposit all his garbage in the forest made me very sad. It probably did not matter to the polluter if someone injured themselves or the shards could cause a forest fire. In spite of all that, I am always convinced that something positive can be made of everything. Each coin has two sides, and I am in favor of paying more attention to the fairer. For me it was sparkling broken car glass and for my sister it was precious diamonds, from which she can make something special creative things. In fact, we made a dream magic tree out of it and stuck many small pieces in a dream catcher. It was amazing to see how inconspicuous pieces of broken glass can become small treasures.
I found this diamond search so inspiring that I used those little pieces of shards right away for my "Flash the Trash" collection. I would like to tell you with this little story that it is fun to be careful, and not everything has to be put into the bin right away. You still have the chance to simply be creative and maybe give someone a little pleasure.
In the bomber jacket you can see many small pieces of broken glass that I picked up at the edge of the forest as well as other findings that I collected on the way home from the university. I picked these items because someone carelessly threw them on the street. Old empty lighters, disposable razors or an empty can from the last energy drink.
